Paving

If you require a tough and durable conveying solution, we offer a selection of rubber or polyurethane (PU) coatings on drum motors, rollers, idlers, or pulleys.

Scandrive steel

Scandrive is the sure way to reduce operating costs and invest in future technology that meets Europe's demands for better energy efficiency.

DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
Ellegaard has developed a groundbreaking new PM motor and control system with the aim of saving costs and streamlining material flow. The technology behind the new PM motor and advanced electronic control fully exploits the motor's capacity, providing the market's highest efficiency. At the same time, energy consumption is far lower than the latest European standards.

The rotor's precise position is constantly measured, and the current is adjusted depending on the rotational speed and load. This is not possible on a standard motor, where the current remains the same regardless of the rotor's position.

THE ONLY DRUM MOTOR THAT DOESN'T BURN OUT

  • Uptime
  • Energy efficient
  • Full torque
  • Very low heat loss
  • IE3 & IE4 compatible
  • IP69K classification
  • Programmable
  • Fewer components
  • Reduced storage space requirements
  • Return on investment

For more than 40 years, we've kept internal transport systems running smoothly across Denmark. For more than 15 of those years, we've also produced, developed, and repaired drum motors locally for Danish businesses.

With a desire to improve the level of service and ensure faster delivery times for our customers, we began our own production in Viborg in 2005 – and in 2009, production capacity was significantly increased when we moved into new and larger premises. This means that we can offer ultra-fast delivery times for both standard drum motors and entirely individualised solutions. If there's an emergency, we can deliver a new drum motor within a few hours.

Technically and in terms of quality, ScanDrive drum motors are on a par with the leading international manufacturers. With very minor adjustments, our drum motors can be easily integrated into existing constructions.

Coatings for drum motors, drive rollers, rollers, etc.

If you require a hard-wearing and durable transport solution, Ellegaard can help you by applying rubber or polyurethane (PU) to drum motors, drive rollers, rollers or rolls.

We can, of course, do this on our own drum motors etc., but we can also help you with coatings on the drum motors, rollers or rolls you have from elsewhere.

Rubber coating, smooth or waffle profile as shown here, or coating with VOLTA tape.

Why do coverings have to be put on?

Rubber or polyurethane are the most commonly used materials for coatings, and there can be many reasons for applying this to drum motors, rollers, etc. The correct coating material with a smooth or waffle surface creates optimal friction and thus ensures a good grip on the conveyor belt. The coating can also reduce wear on the conveyor belt and protect rollers and drum motors from unwanted exposure to oil or chemicals.

RESURFACING WORK
Bring us your old roller, your old drum motor or anything else where the covering is worn or damaged. We remove or skim off the worn rubber or polyurethane (PU) and clean/sandblast the roller itself for optimal adhesion. Next, we apply and vulcanise with the agreed covering, and your roller or drum motor is ready for operation again.

What surfacing will you use?
Rubber or polyurethane (PU) have different properties when used as a coating on drum motors, rollers etc. In many cases, a rubber coating on the drum motor or roller will be sufficient to ensure a good grip on the conveyor belt. The rubber coating also has the advantage of being a simple and cost-effective solution.

  • White rubber with grooves for guide profile
  • Smooth rubber for better grip
  • White smooth rubber for better grip
  • Blue PU coating with teeth for the Volta Super Drive
  • Sprayed black PU for better grip
  • White, food-grade rubber

Polyurethane (PU) is incredibly durable, much like rubber, and can withstand high loads. Additionally, polyurethane (PU) is resistant to certain types of grease, oil, and chemicals, and the material can be used on countless surfaces. Polyurethane (PU) is also a very flexible material and can be sprayed directly onto the surface of an object without leaving visible seams.
